William Conrad Gwidt (Bill), 84, of Green Bay passed away peacefully, at the place he called home for the past 5 ½ years, on October 15. He was born at home on the farm, on November 27, 1935 to Max and Catherine Gwidt. He attended and graduated in 1956 from Pulaski High School. In 1961 he came to live with his sister and brother-in-law, Martha and Norbert Wanek. Bill struggled with learning and mental health issues throughout his life but was able to work on the farm in Denmark with Martha and Norb. The Denmark community became his permanent home for many years. He loved to talk about farming and was known to talk your ear off when he got you in conversation. His brother-in-law taught him to bowl and he bowled in a league 1-2 nights a week for many years. He was not one to watch much television but could sit and listen to polkas or waltzes for hours at a time. He was a gentle soul and his nieces and nephews grew up with him always ready to play or tease. He will forever fondly be remembered as “Uncle Willie”.
Survivors include siblings: Regina Maroszck, Betty Kabara, Janet Lascetski, Pat (Gloria) Gwidt, Marilyn (Leo) Skaletski, Dick (Debbie) Gwidt, Bob Gwidt; Sister-in-law: Margaret Gwidt; nieces and nephews: Aaron (Barbara) Wanek, Suzanne (Daniel) Zellner, Jacqueline Wanek (Leonard Boltz), Adrian (Gretchen) Wanek, and many more including great nieces and nephews.
