William "Bill" Kline

William J. “Bill” Kline, age 83, of Allouez, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 28, 2026, at Angel’s Touch, surrounded by his loving family.

Bill was born on May 1, 1943, in Los Angeles, California, to the late Leon and Mary (Rockefeller) Kline. He graduated from UCLA and went on to attend UCLA School of Dentistry. He later earned his master’s degree in pediatric dentistry from the University of Nebraska.

Bill dedicated his career to serving children and communities. He joined the United States Public Health Service-Indian Health Service and was stationed with numerous tribes throughout the United States. While stationed in Alaska, he met his future wife, Maggie. Bill honorably retired after 29 years of service with the U.S. Public Health Service.

Bill and Maggie eventually made their home in Green Bay, Wisconsin, where Bill continued his career as a pediatric dentist with Dental Associates. He retired from dentistry in 2010. His passion for helping children extended beyond his dental practice, as he also worked with Smile Train, helping provide cleft palate repairs for children around the world.

Bill was a devoted Boy Scout leader and took great pride in mentoring young people. During his years with the Scouts, his troop produced eight Eagle Scouts—a testament to his dedication, guidance, and commitment to helping young people reach their potential.

He was also an active member of Resurrection Catholic Parish and the Knights of Columbus. Bill cherished his time with family, especially the many memories made at their cabin in Michigan. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed canoeing, camping, fishing, and fly fishing. He was also an avid stamp collector.

A lifelong Dodgers fan, Bill had a special connection to the team. He skipped school one time—and only one time—to attend the first game the Dodgers played in Los Angeles.

Of all of Bill’s accomplishments, however, his proudest moments were those involving his children and grandchildren. His family was his greatest joy, and he treasured every moment spent with them.

Bill will be deeply loved and missed by his wife of 56 years, Maggie; his children, David (Liz) Kline and Lynn (Ronnie) Coyle; and his grandchildren, Veva (Michael) Kipper, Cambrey Kline, Brayden Coyle, and Joah Coyle. He is further survived by his sister-in-law, Maria Kline; nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Mary Kline; his son, Scott Kline; and his brother, Stephen Kline.

Family and friends may gather on Friday, September 4, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. until the Memorial Mass at 11:00 a.m. at Resurrection Catholic Parish, 333 Hilltop Drive, Green Bay, Wisconsin.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Smile Train—a foundation to support free cleft surgeries for children worldwide.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Angel’s Touch for the compassionate and wonderful care they provided to Bill during his final moments, as well as the nurses from Moments Hospice for their support and care.

Bill leaves behind a lifetime of service, countless memories, and a family who loved him deeply. He will be forever remembered and greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
