Victor Roger Suster

Victor R. Suster Jr., age 91 of Denmark, passed away surrounded by his loving family on April 14, 2021. He was born on July 1, 1929 to the late Victor R. and Ana (Rebitz) Suster Sr. in Denmark. On August 5, 1950 he married Gladys Swantek in Eaton, Wisconsin. She preceded him in death on July 9, 2019. He was a longtime member of All Saints Catholic Church in Denmark. Together with his wife, they ran Suster’s Arcade and Restaurant. Vic loved socializing with his patrons. He enjoyed fishing and hunting with his friends and spending time at the cottage with family and friends. He was a Denmark Viking’s fan, attending his granddaughter’s softball games and continuing this with his great grandchildren’s basketball, softball, and baseball games. 

He is survived by his children; Leon (Theresa) Suster, Denmark, Dale (JoAnn Pieshek) Suster, Denmark and Vicki (Wayne) Chaloupka, Luxemburg, grandchildren; Amanda (Jason) Baugnet, Denmark, Sara (Dan Maaske) Chaloupka, Green Bay, Angela (Nathan) Michiels, Denmark and Anthony Chaloupka, Green Bay and great grandchildren; Audrey, John, Hugo and Harlow.  Victor is further survived by his sisters-in-law; Irma Buckberger, Milwaukee and Donna Mae Collard, Two Rivers, and brother-in-law Carl Arveson as well as many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Preceding Victor in death are his wife Gladys, his parents, a brother Robert (Rita) Suster as well as his in laws, Anton and Catherine (Wertel) Swantek, and sisters in law; Ester (Art) Clark, Beatrice Arveson and Gerry (Norman “Bud”) Hebel.
Family and friends may call on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at All Saints Catholic Church, 145 St. Claude St, Denmark beginning at 3:00pm until 4:45pm, with the Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 5pm. Entombment will take place at Shrine of the Good Shepherd.

The family would like to thank Scandinavian Court Assisted Living for all the care and kindness given to Victor and the Unity Hospice group for their special care and support. 

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established to support local youth sport programs.
