Tom Van Zeeland

February 7, 1941 — August 14, 2022

Tom was called to his heavenly home on August 14, 2022, surrounded by his family.

Tom was born on February 7, 1941, to Norbert and Marion (Walsh) Van Zeeland. On October 16, 1962, he married Maureen Van Eperen at St. Paul Catholic Church, Wrightstown. Tom served with the 32nd division during the Berlin Crisis. He was co-owner of Fox Valley Wood Products until his retirement in 1996. Tom had a special love for golf, the Packers, Brewers, and Badgers. He enjoyed spending time with his family at his cottage on Wheeler Lake. In his retirement years, he spent his winters at his favorite place, Fountain Hills, AZ.

He is survived by his wife of almost 60 years, Maureen. Together they raised four children. One son, Russ (deceased), three daughters, Renee (Mike) Brixius, Sally (Dan) Fox, Sharon (Chris) Murphy. Thirteen grandchildren, JT (Hannah) Van Zeeland, Brooke (Maggie) Van Zeeland, and their mom, Christine. Scott Van Dyke (fiance Renee Thiede), Teri (Jason) Anger, Craig (Bailey) Van Dyke, and their dad, Steve. Katie Fox (fiance Matt Grady), Kyle Fox, Mitchell Murphy (special friend Haley), Abby Murphy (fiance Paul Meisner), Liz Murphy, Claire Murphy, Drew Murphy, Matthew Murphy. Two step-grandsons, Derek (LeeAnn) Brixius, Brock (Laura) Brixius. Great grandchildren, Jaydence, Soren, Grayson, Savannah, Jaylen, Chad, Finnigan, Penelope, Josephine. His siblings, Patricia Van Schyndel, Don and Noreen Van Zeeland, Joyce and Robert Lamers, Dale and Muriel Van Zeeland, Linda and Jerry Boylan, Roger and Joyce Van Zeeland. Sister-in law, Carol Van Zeeland. His wife’s family: Elaine Rietz, Dorothy Lamers, Rosie Van Eperen, Roger and Judy Van Eperen, Mary Ellen Kalies, Colette Van Eperen, Dan and Diane Van Eperen.

He is preceded in death by his son, Russ, parents Norbert and Marion Van Zeeland,mother and father-in-law, Bernard and Rose Van Eperen, siblings, Terry and Jeanette Van Zeeland, Jerry Van Zeeland. In-laws, Don Rietz, Bill Lamers, Gerald Van Eperen, Doloris Van Eperen, Ken Kalies, Marvin Van Eperen.

We would like to thank the entire staff at Aspire Assisted Living with special thanks to Kayla (Moe), and Allison as well as the St. Croix Hospice team. The special care you gave to our Dad/husband will never be forgotten.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 18, 2022, from 4pm until 6:45pm at St. Clare Catholic Church (St. Paul Site 437 Main St. Wrightstown) with a Prayer Service at 7pm. Visitation will continue Friday morning from 9am to 10:45am in the same location, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am with Father Brian Wideman officiating.
