Suzanne Gerrits

September 18, 1950 — January 14, 2022

My spirit was willing, but my body was tired. Suzanne Mary Gerrits was born September 18, 1950, to Raymond and Lorraine (Vanderlin) Gerrits. After my 1968 graduation from Wrightstown High School, I spent my entire 39-year working career at Morning Glory Dairy/Foremost Farms in the office, until my health forced me into early retirement. I was an avid bowler and enjoyed traveling, visiting all 50 states, with favorites Alaska, Zion National Park, and Hawaii with Bart and Cherry Starr. Being raised on a farm, I loved animals, especially all my pets. I liked to bake, cook, and make homemade Christmas candy. Fun times were shopping and the Christmas season. My faith was treasured and I prayed rosaries every day with a devotion to our Blessed Virgin Mary, my namesake. My family includes the late Roland (Sharon) Gerrits, Julie (Dean) Ihlenfeldt, Jennifer (Brad), Jake and Ryan Bucher, Tony (Lisa) Gerrits; David (Eileen) Gerrits, Michelle (Jason), Aaron and Collin Wanta, Mike (Melissa) and Payton Gerrits, Andy (Kelly), Quinton, Morgan and Mason Gerrits; Marianne (Mike); Cathy (Pat) Patton, Nick (Melissa), Lilah, Elliott, and Baby Patton, Kimberly (Ben), Eli, Jordan, Caleb, and Nolan Matzke; Debbie (Paul) Hartjes, my godson Kurt (Rachel) and Matthew (Ashley) and Julius Hartjes; goddaughter Nancy (Bob) Smith, Shannon (Brett) and my goddaughter Valerie (Adam) Smith. January 14, 2022, I was greeted by Mom, Dad, Rollie, and other relatives. I thank my friend, Nancy Sederstrom, for her calls, visits, and going out to lunch; my friend, Karen Miller, for all the shopping trips and treats, especially the raspberries; and my cousins, Candy Chambers and Linda Richter, for their calls. I also thank Curative Connections and Tina for their kind assistance. Family and friends may visit at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 220 S. Michigan Street, De Pere, on Saturday, January 22, from 9:00am until 10:45am. Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 11:00am with Fr. Mike Ingold officiating. Masks are recommended to be worn at the church. Due to allergies in the family, no flowers, please. I will be waiting to greet you someday.
