Susan Jane Laird

Jan 22, 1959 — Sep 7, 2026

Green Bay, WI

Susan Jane Laird, age 67, passed away peacefully at her home in Green Bay, WI on Monday September 7, 2026. She was born in Toledo, OH on January 22, 1959 to Robert H. Laird and Jane G. Laird.

Susan moved to Wisconsin with her parents at a young age and lived the rest of her life in Green Bay. She graduated from St. Joseph’s Academy High School, class of 1978. She worked many years at Imperial Inc. (renamed Imperial Supplies) before retiring in early 2016. She enjoyed her time at Imperial and always took great pride in a job well done.

Susan was a longtime member of St. Anne’s Episcopal Church in De Pere, WI where she regularly attended Sunday services and bible studies. She was also an active and valued member of the Altar Guild. She was honored to generously donate a new labyrinth to the church. She will be deeply missed by her St. Anne’s family.

Susan was a proud and supportive aunt and the biggest cheerleader of her nieces and nephew at their athletic and school events. She enjoyed music & dancing, and danced the night away at family weddings and events. Family time, celebrations and dinners together were made all the more special by Susan’s quick wit and unique sense of humor. Susan liked to travel and especially looked forward to her yearly visits to Marco Island, FL to escape winter and visit her parents and family. Other travel destinations she fondly remembered were trips to Alaska and Europe with her mother. She enjoyed watching classic movies and TV series, with Perry Mason being one of her favorites. Other interests included attending live music and festivals in the area and trivia nights where she excelled in the music & entertainment categories.

Susan is survived by her brother, John G. Laird (Amy), Marco Island, FL; nieces Amanda J. Laird, Encinitas, CA; Alaina A. Laird, who lives abroad and nephew Benjamin J. Laird, Marco Island, FL. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Robert H. Laird Jr.

The Laird family would like to extend a special thank you to Tricia Helminger, TLC Guardians, Inc., all of the care pros with Home Instead and the nurses and social workers with Unity Hospice for their dedicated and compassionate care, allowing Susan to remain at home.

A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers or other expressions of sympathy, please consider a donation to St. Anne's Episcopal Church (347 Libal Street, De Pere, WI 54115) in Susan's honor.
