Susan Duquaine

December 19, 1944 — January 2, 2025

Susan "Sue" Duquaine, age 80, passed away on January 2, 2025. Born on December 19, 1944, in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Catherine (Terris) Fechhelm. On June 18, 1966 she married Roger "Duke" Duquaine in Fond Du Lac, and he preceded her in death in 2007.

Susan was a warm and caring soul, known for her incredible talent in knitting that she shared with her knitting group. She had a special knack for crafting beautiful handmade flag blankets, which she lovingly donated to veterans and military dogs, brightening their lives with her thoughtful gifts. Sue and her good friend Terri (affectionately dubbed Laverne and Shirley) had many road trips together and shared a strong friendship. Her creative spirit also shined through in her keen eye for decorating and Sue was affectionately known for always having snacks available to share with those she loved.

She is survived by her cherished daughter, Rachel (Chris) Goffard and their daughters Catherine and Emma; siblings: Gene (Kay) Fechhelm, Paul (Mary Beth) Fechhelm and children: Paula (J.D.) McElvogue, and her son Russel (Kayla) Lewis, Thomas and sons Ian and Evan Fechhelm, Phil Fechhelm and George (Connie) Fechhelm and son George (Michelle) Fechhelm II and children Ava, George III and Olivia; sister-in-law Judith Duquaine.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger; her parents, Eugene and Catherine; and a sister-in-law Amy Fechhelm.
