Suanne L. La Luzerne, age 63 of Green Bay, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, July 23, 2024. She was born on August 10, 1960, in Green Bay to the late Anthony “Tony” and Dorothy “Jane” (Macco) Cappelle. Sue graduated from St. Joseph Academy, she then went on to NWTC and obtained a Computer Support Technician Diploma. On July 17, 1981, she married Michael La Luzerne at St. Mary Catholic Church, Glenmore. They were able to celebrate their 43rd wedding anniversary before she passed. Sue loved camping, going up North, spending time with friends and family and loving her grandchildren. Her greatest pride and joy were her children and the wonderful adults they had become.
She is survived by her husband, Mike, children; Steve (Tricia) La Luzerne, Doug (Mark Lacenski) La Luzerne and James (Maria) La Luzerne, grandchildren; Hayley La Luzerne, Luca La Luzerne, Zaidee La Luzerne and Otis La Luzerne. Sue is further survived by her brothers and sisters; Mary Jo (Erv) Kerkhoff, Dave (Nora) Cappelle, Anne (Neal) Zastrow, Paula (Richard) Froelich, Tom (Christine) Cappelle, Toni (John) Mancini, Joe (Wendy) Cappelle, Claire (Eric Brown) Cappelle and Paul (Shayna) Cappelle her brothers and sisters in law; Becky (Dave Pagel) La Luzerne, Dave (Patti) La Luzerne, Lisa La Luzerne and Randy (Susan) La Luzerne as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death are her parents, parents in law, Murlin and Patricia La Luzerne and brother in law, Randy Miller.
Family and friends may gather on Thursday, August 1, 2024, at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N Webster Ave, De Pere beginning at 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm with a prayer service to follow at 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue the next day, Friday, August 2, 2024, from 9:30 am until 10:30 am, with the Mass to follow at 10:30 am at St. Philip the Apostle Parish, 312 Victoria St, Green Bay.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the entire staff of Unity Hospice at the Jack and Ingrid Meng Residence for the wonderful, compassionate care given to Sue during her stay there.
