Steve Johnson

Stephen M. Johnson 78 was called to his Eternal Salvation on September 12, 2025. Born on January 12, 1947 in New London, WI to John and Dorothy Johnson. Moved to Wrightstown, WI in 1968 to join Nabisco as Office Manager and later became Plant Controller until the time of plant closure in 2002. Serving brief stints with Wolfrath’s Nursery, at Konz Lumber in Appleton where he served as Manager of Human Resources/Safety until 2008. Became Village Administrator for the Village of Wrightstown until his retirement in 2016. Served many years as the Village of Wrightstown’s Treasurer and President. Married Sue A. Mielke on July 21, 1972 and they resided in Wrightstown all of their 44-1/2 years of married life. They had four children, Tammy (Paul), Todd (Shelley), Tim (Melanie), and Teri (Kelly). Steve is survived by his children and seven grandchildren, Jeremy (Samantha), Jared (Amber), Ryan, Tyler, Kelan, Gage, and Finn. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Sue, in-laws Wilmer and Dorothy Mielke, sister in-law Carol Mielke, sister Jean and many aunts, uncles, in-laws and close friends. Steve enjoyed golf and watching various sporting events.

Visitation will be held on September 19, 2025 at 12:00pm-1:15pm at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church, 206 Plum Road, Wrightstown, WI with the funeral service immediately following at 1:30pm. Interment will be at the St. John Lutheran Cemetery in Wrightstown.
