It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sonia Del Milagro Roman, who passed on August 14, 2025, at the age of 61. Born in Tyler, Texas, on August 16, 1963, Sonia was the beloved daughter of Consuelo Cervantes Rodriguez and Roberto Gustavo Mesa.
Sonia spent her early years in Tyler, Miami and Hollywood before moving to Chicago, where she attended Senn High School. On July 15, 1993, she married the love of her life, Francisco Roman, in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
As an owner/operator in the e-commerce industry, Sonia was an entrepreneur who poured her heart into her work. It was her family and hobbies that brought her immense joy. Whether it was crocheting, working with diamond beads, or crafting. Sonia’s hands were always busy making something beautiful. She was also known for her culinary talents, whipping up delicious dishes from just about any cuisine with ease.
Sonia's vibrant personality and stylish flair made her a joy to be around. She had a knack for bringing people together, making every moment special, and her warmth will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Sonia is survived by her husband, Francisco; sons: Lysander, Lorenzo, Lazaro and Elijah Roman; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Maria Roman Vargas, Juan Manuel Roman, Margarita Roman, Laura Roman and Miguel Marrero Soto.
In addition to her mother, Consuelo, she was preceded in death by her siblings: Carmen Torres and Roberto Mesa, as well as brothers-in-law: David Marrero Soto and Roberto Roman.
Family and friends may visit at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N Webster Ave, De Pere, on Tuesday, August 19, from 10:30am until the time of service at 11:30am. Burial will be in Allouez Cemetery.
