Sallie Anne Osborn Lynch Castle, age 68, passed away May 31, 2023. The daughter of William and Mary (French) Lynch was born August 26, 1954 in De Pere. She graduated De Pere High School where she played the oboe in the marching band. Sallie went on to graduate Magna Cum Laude from St. Norbert College with a degree in teaching. She met James Castle in the church choir, and after marriage was blessed with a daughter, Susan. Sallie worked primarily in human resources, working her way up to VP of HR at C.A. Lawton Company and later as HR Manager at Belmark. She enjoyed spending time gardening, traveling and cooking.
Sallie was a caring and giving person, always putting others before herself. She led the fundraising effort for the First United Presbyterian Church social hall in De Pere and would prepare lutefisk for her grandfather weekly. Later in life, her granddaughter Emmalyn was her pride and joy.
Survivors include her daughter, Susan; granddaughter Emmalyn; brother Roy (Carol) Osborn; special Aunt Marlene French, her Osborn aunts; nieces: Melissa (Kenneth) Flores and Crystal Kusko; several cousins, and special friends Lenita Cornelius and family.
She was preceded in death by her husband James; parents, William and Mary; in-laws Oliver and Evelyn Castle; aunts and uncles.
Family and friends may visit at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N Webster Ave, De Pere, on Thursday, June 8, from 3:30pm until the time of service at 5:30pm with the Rev. John Cory IV and Rev. Dr. Ted Tromble officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, De Pere.
