Ruth M. Sinkler

Ruth M. Sinkler, age 84, of De Pere, passed away on March 10, 2024. She was born February 21, 1940, to the late Ray and Ida Gonnering. On August 4, 1962, she married the love of her life, Allen Sinkler, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Greenleaf.

Ruth loved taking care of her grandchildren and great-grandchild. She also had a love for gardening, especially taking care of beautiful flowers.

Ruth is survived by her children Penny (Don) Albers, Becky (Matt) Hunt and their children Cara and Ryan, and great-grandchild Dominic Sinkler, and Chad (Jen) Sinkler and their children Teagan, Bobbiallen, and Lily; sisters Jean Krause and Mary (Tom) Howatt; brother Mike (Trudy) Gonnering; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law JoAnn Vogel, Lee (Betty) Sinkler, Judy Gallenberger, Lynn (Wayne) Wians, and Dawn (Chuck) Nuthals; and many nieces and nephews.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Allen Sinkler; her children Chris and Peggy; her parents; sister Diane Harrington; brothers-in-law John and Dale (Karen) Sinkler; sister-in-law Patricia Wisnicky; sister-in-law JoAnn Vogel’s husband Marcellus Vogel; sister-in-law Judy Gallenberger’s husband Greg Gallenberger; and nephew Eric Wians.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 15 at 9:00-10:45am at St. Mary Catholic Church, 4805 Sportsman Dr, De Pere. Mass will follow at 11:00am. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery.

A memorial fund has been established in Ruth’s name.
