Russell William Norman

February 20, 1972 — December 8, 2023

Russell William Norman, 51, passed away on Friday, December 8, 2023, as a result of injuries sustained in an industrial accident.

Russell was born on February 20, 1972, to Glenn and Georgina (Fonferek) Norman, the oldest of five children. After graduating from Southwest High School, Russ began his career at Robinson Metal, where he worked for 34 years. He was an outstanding welder and machine/laser operator.

Throughout the years, Russell maintained a small hobby farm where he raised chickens, pigs, and cows. When Russell was not working, he loved being outside hunting, fishing, and most of all, motorcycle riding. He would tell you one of his most memorable trips was to Sturgis. He also enjoyed going to the Hodag each summer. Russell enjoyed spending time with his family at their place in Crivitz, where annually he would help make a batch of the infamous Norman boo-yah.

Russell is survived by his two boys, Riley and Ryan, special friend Aimee Alexander, parents Glenn and Georgina, siblings Regina Norman, Randy (Tina) Norman, Robert Norman (girlfriend Tanya), and Rebecca (Craig) Denzel as well as Theresa the mother of his two children and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Russell was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Don and Laverne (Patton) Norman, and maternal grandparents, Peter and Florence (VanderKellen) Fonferek as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The Norman family would like to thank St. Vincent’s ICU team for the care they provided Russell.

Visitation will be held at Cotter Funeral Home in Denmark on Sunday, December 17, from 1-4 pm followed by a short service.
