Ronald William Waise

March 3, 1937 — September 27, 2022

On Tuesday, September 27, 2022, in the early morning hours, Ronald William Waise passed away peacefully in his home nearly one week after his wife Cheryl’s passing. The love he had for her exceeded the love he received on earth.

Ron was born on March 3, 1937, to William and Celia Waise. He grew up in Armstrong Creek, WI alongside his brother Bill. Ron was a small-town guy who was proud of his Polish community and heritage. Upon graduating from high school Ron went into the Army and was mostly stationed in Fairbanks, Alaska. After serving in the Army, Ron moved to Milwaukee and went into the Police Academy and became a police officer in Milwaukee. He later moved to Green Bay where he remained a police officer for 3 more years before joining the K-Mart Corporation. He was eventually promoted to District Security Manager. He ran one of the most efficient districts in the country and received the best reviews from his superiors.

Ron became a father to 5 wonderful children, Pam in 1960, David in 1963, Brenda in 1966, Jeff in 1968 and Angela in 1972. He loved all his children and spent time with each of them to create many memories. Ron introduced his sons to fishing and hunting through weeklong trips to the Armstrong Creek area. He couldn't promise a great catch, but a fun time with lots of laughs and stories that would be told again and again were guaranteed. Ron and Cheryl took all their children to the North woods of Wisconsin to enjoy time with their grandparents while swimming, attending social gatherings, and just being one big family.

He was always up for going to sporting events, parties, graduations, weddings, and settling down for a good conversation with his family. Later, Ron was blessed with 10 grandchildren. He loved and appreciated each grandchild for all their special qualities and talents. He was proud of them and was there supporting them in their endeavors. Ron was an avid fisherman, hunter and golfer. He took great pride in maintaining his home and yard and always lent a hand to help other people do the same. He demonstrated his generosity as he volunteered at Aurora BayCare Medical Center, the Lutheran churches he attended and the De Pere Men's Club. He also enjoyed traveling with his dear wife, Cheryl to many places in America and abroad.

Ron will be deeply missed by his family. His family was the most important part of his life. You could count on Ron for good advice and when you needed to help solve a problem. He was there; constant, reliable, caring and loving. He is with his wife and their love story will continue for eternity.

Ron was proceeded in death by his father and mother, William and Celia Waise, and his wife Cheryl Waise. He is survived by his brother Bill Waise, Pamela (Russ) Wright, David (Gina) Waise, Brenda (Sam) Eiers, son Jeff (Pam) Waise, daughter Angela Shinners (Chris Heder), grandchildren Steven and Rachel Wright, Haley, Sophia and Paige Waise, Allison and Cassidy Eiers, Madison and Lanceng Waise, Maddax Shinners, Alec (Ciara) Baenen, Samantha Corsten, and Maximus Baenen.
