Robert "Bob" Trich

Robert M. Trich, 82, Allouez, passed away at home on Friday, June 11th after a long illness. Robert was born on March 1st, 1928 in Green Bay to James and Irene Trich. Robert was an adventuresome young man who spent his young high school summers sailing the great lakes as a merchant marine. After graduating from East High School he joined the Army Air Force where he served from 1946 to 1948. He was very proud of his military service. After he returned to Green Bay he met his wife Shirley Gerhard, and they were married in 1950. Soon thereafter, Robert began a 31 year career with the US Postal Service retiring in 1983. Robert was a hard working, devoted husband and a committed family man who loved to laugh had a great sense of humor. He and Shirley celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on June 10th. Robert will be sadly missed by family and friends. He is survived by his wife Shirley (Gerhard) Trich, children, Barbara Trich-Finn of Grass Valley, CA, Rebecca Sauer of Sergeant Bluffs, IA, Robert Trich Jr. of New Franken, WI, Colleen Thibodeau of Allouez, WI, numerous nieces, nephews and grandchildren, and one great grandchild. A private family funeral was held according to Robert’s wishes. Cotter Funeral Home, De Pere, is assisting the family.
