Richard J. Siehr

March 12, 1948 — June 3, 2025

Richard J. Siehr, age 77, formerly of Maribel, passed away Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at home surrounded by his loving family.

Richard was born March 12, 1948, son of the late Victor F. and Georgiana (Schuh) Siehr. He attended Mishicot High School graduating with the class of 1966. Shortly thereafter he would enlist in The United States Army, serving with honor and dedication for 3 years, attaining the rank of Sergeant. After his honorable discharge from service, he worked as a machinist for 43 years. Richard retired in 2013 from Machine Service Inc where he had spent much of his career.

On October 16th, 1976, Richard was united in marriage with the love of his life, the former Colleen K. Daley at Silver Lake College. In 1980 they would move to Abrams, WI, where they would reside and raise their family.

Richard enjoyed many activities over the years. He was involved in golf leagues and trap shooting leagues and loved to go deer hunting with his friends. He also enjoyed camping trips with his family and going to the races. His pride and joy, however, was his home and his yard. Richard spent countless hours on home improvement projects and perfecting his front and back yards. The backyard would be host to many cookouts throughout the years and eventually the role of grill master would be passed to his son-in-law, so Richard could just relax and enjoy the company of his grandchildren.

Richard is survived by his children, Joshua Siehr of Green Bay, Ashley (Joshua) Van Haren of Abrams, and his grandchildren, Madyson, Hank, and Vivian Van Haren.

He is also survived by eight brothers and sisters, Robert Siehr and special friend Susan Kiel, Manitowoc, Roger and Pat Siehr, Kellnersville, Susan and Kenn Hibbard, Maribel, Victor R.
