Rhonda Katherine Petersen

Rhonda Katherine Petersen, age 52, passed away in her home surrounded by family on March 3, 2022, after a hard-fought battle with brain cancer. Rhonda was born to Franklin “Woody” and Susan (Rider) Glime on June 15, 1969. She married the love of her life Brent Petersen on October 21, 1995, at St. Phillips church in Green Bay, WI. She proudly worked for Paper Converting Machine Company (PCMC) for over 30 years. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, getting her nails done, and camping. Rhonda loved her family and friends very much, and her strong will, faith, positive spirit, and infectious smile will forever be remembered by those who knew her.

Rhonda is survived by her loving husband Brent; children Britney (Brian VanRite), Brandon, Brooke; parents Franklin “Woody” and Susan (Rider) Glime; parents-in-law Kent and Sandy (VanDenElzen) Petersen; siblings Renae (Jim) Pantzlaff, Becky (Brad) Hendricks, Kristin (Jim) Beyer, soul sister Stacy Baeb; brother and sister in-laws; Jesse Petersen, Ryan (Laura) Petersen, Matt (Rachel) Petersen, dog Macy, nieces & nephews; Brady, Aubrey, Davis, Griffin, Emma, Korin, Dustin, Rachael, Emmy, Zac, Sienna, Layna.

Rhonda was proceeded in death by her grandparents Alvin and Emma Glime, George and Billy Rider; and grandparents-in-law Maynard Petersen, Erv and Cleo VanDenElzen.

On behalf of the family, we would like to give special thanks to Dr. Jennifer Connelly and Dr. Wade Mueller at Froedtert, Dr. David Groteluschen at HSHS, as well as the Aurora Hospice team, especially Leah, Alicen, and Mary - your compassion, dedication, and empathy were unmatched, and we will never be able to thank you enough. In lieu of flowers, offerings can be made to Rhonda's memorial.

Visitation will take place at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Denmark, WI on March 8, 2022, from 8am to 10:45am, with a Funeral Service at 11am with Pastor Andrew Zoerb officiating. Cotter Funeral Home and Cremation Care of Denmark is assisting the family.
