Phyllis Lynn Sacho, 90, resident of De Pere, WI, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2022. She was born May 19, 1931, in St. Charles, MN to Charles and Alice (Kruger) Kessler.
Phyllis graduated from Green Bay West High School in 1949. That same year she became Miss Green Bay, Miss Wisconsin, and a runner up in the Miss America Pageant. She served as a baton twirler for the Green Bay Packer Lumberjacks from 1949 to 1951. In 1951, she married Lyle Lynn and had 3 sons.
During her life, she attended Ripon College and NWTC. She spent many years as the Director of the Miss Green Bay Pageant. She taught Physical Education at Corpus Christi in Sturgeon Bay and night school at NWTC. She worked in the Red Owl Warehouse and was a receptionist at Le Mieux Toyota. She retired as a Postmaster after 25 years working for the US Postal Service where she helped to expand service as a National Management Trainer.
She had two great joys in life: the first was raising her three sons. The second joy was marrying her soulmate, Greg, in 1999. He brought great happiness, companionship, love of music, laughter, and tenderness to her life. They enjoyed singing in the St. Francis church choir, swimming in the CP pool, going to the Weidner Center and Fireside Theater, visiting Door County, going to the movies, and spending time together.
She is survived by her children: Thomas (Missy) Lynn, Jeff (Sharon) Lynn, and Randy (Lori) Lynn; and many other close friends, relatives, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by Lyle Lynn; her parents, Charles and Alice Kessler; her brother, Richard Kessler; her sister, Janis Smith; and the love of her life, Gregory Sacho.
A very special thank you to the staff of Rennes Nursing Home and AseraCare Hospice.
