Philip J. Conley, age 76, of Greenleaf, passed away Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at his home.
He was born on May 30, 1944 in Flushing, New York to the late Joseph and Mary (Ferry) Conley. After graduating from Premontre High School in Green Bay he served his country in the United States Air Force. In 1971 he married Cheryl M. Hutjens. He ran his own auto repair business, Old Hwy. 57 Auto for 33 years. Phil loved the spring-time because it meant weekly NASCAR races and the scheduling of car shows and swap meets. He truly enjoyed buying and selling “treasures” and everything car related. He also loved mealtime with his family and friends, and he didn’t like to rush away from visiting with others.
Philip is survived by his wife, Cheryl; 2 sons, Scott (Amy) Alexander and Jerry (Cheryl A.) Conley; 4 cherished grandchildren, Brooke Alexander, Will Alexander, Nick Alexander, Jamie Conley; 3 sisters, Jean (Robert) Cramer, Ellen Conley, Meg (Tony) Hemery; a godchild Rob Jenkins; other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Mary; one brother, Jere Conley; 2 sisters, Miriam Jenkins and Betsy Conley; one brother-in-law, Gary Jenkins.Family and friends may visit at St. Clare Parish- St. Patrick Site, Askeaton, on Saturday, March 27, from 9:00am until 10:45am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am with Fr. Brian Wideman officiating. Full military honors will be accorded before mass and burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in De Pere. Cotter Funeral and Cremation Care is assisting the family.
