Patrick E. Mahoney

June 21, 1930 — May 4, 2023

Patrick (Pat) Mahoney, aged 92, passed away on Thursday, May 4, 2023. Pat was born on June 21, 1930, along with his twin sister, Patricia, to the late Alphonse and Agnes (Maloney) Mahoney.


Pat graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1949. In 1950 he enrolled in the US Marine Corps during the Korean War. After being injured, Pat was Honorably Discharged from active duty in 1952 and was in the Marine Corp Reserve until 1959, leaving as a Sargeant.


Pat worked at Blatz Brewery in Sales and Merchandising. After Blatz he helped start Tosca, Ltd. And subsequently became Vice President. He was instrumental in all facets of development and engineering.


On December 1,1962, Pat married Lois Hansen at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral in Green Bay. They had three children and six grandchildren. One of their favorite things to do was RV camping with their children, fishing in St. Germaine and visiting Ireland.


After retiring from Tosca, he took up some hobbies. First, he started building model wood boats. After he built four boats, he started watercolor painting, encouraged by friends Judy Hermans and Gary Krawczyk.


Pat is survived by his wife Lois and their three children. Kelly (Gerry) Ciezki, Sean (Lisa) Mahoney and Maureen Mahoney; six grandchildren, Austin and Meghan Ciezki, Cailin and Aiden Mahoney, Drew McCormick, and Isabella Cricks. Additional survivors are his sister-in-law Pauline(Glen) Hartman, a very special nephew, Godson and Cribbage opponent Chris (Margie) Laws and other nieces and nephews Linda (Greg) Martell, Missy (John) Peterson, Molly (Cal) Callahan, Cindy (Bruce) Konkle, Bridget (Mike) Hansen, Tracy Laws, John Laws, Steve (Ann) Laws, Steve(Kris) Livermore, LuAnn (Scott) Bauer, Sean and Brian Casey, Erin(Keith) Winkowski, Glenda (Willie) Haynes, Paul (Mandi) Hartman and Becky (Dennis) Buck.


Pat wanted to give a special thank you to cousins Kevin Murphy, Margaret Murphy, Sally Schaefer and all the other family that visited him.


Pat was preceded in death by his parent, father-in-law and mother-in-law Elroy and Lola Hansen, sisters Patricia and Susan, brothers-in-law George Laws, John Casey, Michael Hansen, and Howard Wood.


Visitation will take place Friday, May 12, 2023, at Resurrection Catholic Parish, 333 Hilltop Dr. Green Bay WI 54301 from 9:00-10:45 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Father Tom Reynebeau officiating. Military honors will follow at the church.
