Patricia Mae Denis

Patricia Mae (Geitner) Denis of De Pere, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, June 9, 2022. She was born July 1, 1934, in Green Bay, to the late John and Alvina (Cumber) Geitner. On May 22, 1954, she married the love of her life as well as her roller skating and dance partner, Richard (Dick) Denis at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral in Green Bay. Patricia was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in De Pere where she was a member of the Christian Mothers’ Club. She attended school at St. Francis Cathedral and St. Joseph’s Academy. In her spare time she enjoyed playing cards, reading, bowling, travelling, spending time at the cottage, playing SKIPO and Canadian rummy. Baking for the grandkids and great-grandkids was truly her passion. Holidays will never be the same without her holiday dinners.

She is survived by her children; James (Barbara) Denis, Terri (Michael) Majeski, Lori (Ken) Leonhard, Julie (John) Malchak; 12 grand-children, and 16 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her husband, Richard (Dick) Denis, parents John and Alvina, in-laws Lewis and Johanna Denis, brother in law and sister in law, Leland and Eunice Denis.

Family and friends may visit at St. Mary Catholic Church, 4805 Sportsman Drive, Ledgeview, on Thursday, June 16, from 9:00am until 10:30am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am with Fr. Matt Faucett officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, De Pere. Cotter Funeral and Cremation Care is assisting the family.

Patricia had a great admiration for the work of St. Jude Childrens’ Research Hospital, memorials may be made out to them in her honor.

Due to compromised health conditions, Pat’s family requests that masks are worn while inside the church. Cotter Funeral and Cremation Care is assisting the family.
