Patricia C. (Saubert) Haevers, 83, was called home to be with the Lord on July 12, 2020. Pat was born on September 1, 1936 to the late John F. and Maude M. (Mallow) Saubert in Green Bay, Wisconsin. On January 26, 1957 she was united in marriage to Arnold J. Haevers, who preceded her in death on May 15, 1995.
Pat was a lifelong resident of West De Pere and involved in many area activities and groups. She was the owner of Clip & Snip Dog Grooming in De Pere, a member of St. John Lutheran Church and a member of the VFW Auxillary Post 2113 for 43 years, serving as president in 1983. Pat enjoyed spending time at the lake with family, creating beautiful ceramics, gardening and traveling with friends. She was a strong, caring and giving woman with a wonderful and unforgettable laugh. Pat will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Pat is survived by her children: Theresa (William) Gardner of West Chicago, IL and Joseph “Joe” Haevers of De Pere. Grandchildren: Tony (Cindy) Pray, Nick (Rachel) Pray, Brian (Katie) Youngberg, Krysta (Tim) Scarleski, Ashley (Nathan) Enk, Will Gardner and six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Geraldine (Jeep) Davidson of Green Bay; many beloved nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, siblings: Beverly (William) Gerbers, Clara May (Gerrald) Smits, John (Jackie) Saubert; and Joe’s fiancé, Laura Kadlec.
Family and friends may visit at the chapel of Fort Howard Memorial Park, 1350 N. Military Avenue, Green Bay, on Saturday, July 25 from 9:00-10:30 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 am. Due to Covid-19 health concerns, visitors and family are asked to wear a mask at all times while they are at the chapel. Burial will follow the service. A live stream will also be available at the Cotter Funeral and Cremation Care Facebook page.
Our family would like to thank the caregivers of St. Vincent Hospital and Unity Hospice during our mother’s final days.
