Patricia Feld Goin, a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away on September 24, 2025, at the age of 73. She was born on February 21, 1952, to Edwin and Grace (Kenney) Feld in Green Bay, Wisconsin, and graduated from East High School in 1970.
Patti met her husband of 53 years, Vernon Goin at the University of Minnesota where they were both involved at the YMCA on campus. The two married on March 18, 1972, at Ascension Lutheran Church in Green Bay during spring break of Vern’s first year of dental school. After their wedding, Patti worked full-time for one year before attending nursing school at St. Catherine University in St. Paul, Minnesota where she received her nursing degree in 1975.
Patti and Vern returned to Green Bay in 1975, where Patti initially worked at Bellin Hospital on the OB/GYN floor. While her early years were full of personal accomplishments, her true passion and life’s work was her family. Of all her roles, being “Mom” and “Grandma” were the ones she cherished most. A devoted mother, she poured her heart into raising their children, supporting every dream, attending their sporting events all the way through their college years, and being a pillar of strength for the entire family. When grandchildren arrived, her love found new outlets. She was the mastermind behind the annual “Camp Green Bay” excursions – a week of fun, food, and Grandma’s famous surprises that became a cherished summer tradition that her grandchildren will carry for a lifetime.
Patti was known for her love of animals, with a special fondness for her beloved dogs who were always part of the family, and she was a devoted supporter of animal-related causes. When she wasn’t busy caring for her family, you could find her spending winters in Arizona or visiting one of her favorite places in Santa Fe. Patti had a true talent for interior design and enjoyed decorating her home in vibrant Southwestern style and designing beautiful, one-of-a-kind custom furniture pieces. Yet nothing compared to the magic she created at Christmas – her absolute favorite time of year. Each year Patti transformed her home into a masterpiece of beauty and holiday spirit, enchanting her family, especially her grandchildren year after year.
Patti is survived by her husband, Vernon; three sons: Jack (significant other Mary Diebold), Patrick, and Jeffrey (Kelsey) Goin; grandchildren: Grace, Jackson, Noelle, and Theodore Goin; siblings: Dennis (Kathryn Lindemann) Feld and Kathleen (Steve) Kersten; Vernon’s siblings: Verena (Steve) LeMay, Harold Goin, and John (Barbara) Goin; as well as many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Edwin and Grace, Patti was preceded in death by Vernon’s parents Frederick Elvin and Dorothy Goin and brother-in-law James Goin.
