Nonanne Sippy Patten

April 19, 1929 — April 10, 2021

Nonanne Sippy Patten, age 91, departed quietly from home in Green Bay to explore her future joining the beautiful angels awaiting her. She was born to Dr. H. Ivan Sippy and wife Meldryd on April 19, 1929 in Chicago.  Dr. Sippy was Chief of Staff at Wesley Memorial Hospital (now Northwestern) and taught at Northwestern Medical School. Nonanne attended the University of Wisconsin and was a member of the Pi Phi Sorority. Nonanne was widowed and sadly missed her first husband, Byron (Pat) Patten, when he passed away. Later, family friend, John “Jack” Brebner of Green Bay, an associate of Byron’s in the Caterpillar Tractor business, became re-acquainted with Nonanne. They married and lived in Florida, Scottsdale and Green Bay for twenty years.  During this time she fought, bravely winning for ten years, her long combat with breast cancer. Nonanne’s family included her late brother Hall Sippy.  She leaves behind Jack and her children: Crane, Tom, Steve (and their spouses) and daughter Cindy; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; as well as Jack’s family. Services are planned and will take place on May 1, 2021 in Boise, Idaho.  Interment will be in the Morris Hill Cemetery, Boise, Idaho.  Cotter Funeral and Cremation Care of De Pere is handling local arrangements for Nonanne. The family thanks her Unity Team for their thoughtful and extensive care as well as Mary at Cotter’s.
