Nona Mae Lesjack, 84, of Green Bay, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 29, 2023. Nona was born November 9, 1938, in Marinette, WI to the late Elwood and Pearl (Behling) Olson. She graduated from St. Catherine’s in Kenosha, where she earned her training and nursing degree as an LPN. She went on to work at Marinette General in Marinette. On June 18, 1960, she married William Lesjack in Menominee, MI. This union was blessed with three daughters, Kathleen, Dawn, and Terri.
Nona enjoyed reading, watching soap operas, gardening, and rooting for any Wisconsin sports team. Her favorite past time was caring for her grandchildren and watching them grow. She felt truly blessed to be a part of their lives.
Nona is survived by her daughters: Kathleen (Dave) DeGrave, Dawn (Barry) Ayers, Terri (Daniel) Lesjack- Decker; grandchildren: Amanda (Joe) Weisner, Josh (Summer) DeGrave, Erik(Alyssa) DeGrave, Kristin DeGrave, Nicole Ayers, Jenny Fernandez, Alex (Mariah) Ayers, Ashley Ayers, Nathaniel Lesjack-Decker; great-grandchildren Nik, Hailee, Graycee, Jaxon, Lauryn, Libby, Isaiah, Frankie, and Emma; her sisters: Sandy Smith and Delores Olson; a sister-in-law, Margie Olson; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elwood and Pearl Olson; her husband of 52 years, William Lesjack; her brothers: Elwood, Edward, and Raymond Olson; and her brother-in-law, Vincent Smith.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Angels Touch Assisted Living as well as to Moments Hospice for the kind and compassionate care their mother received.
