Nancy Ann (Busa) Stankevitz, age 78, passed away peacefully June 11, 2024. She was born on August 28, 1945 in Chicago, IL to the late John and Clara (Kaminski) Busa. She is a graduate of P.J. Jacobs High School in Stevens Point. On June 4, 1966 she married James Stankevitz at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church. For many years Nancy worked in Stevens Point for Sentry Insurance and for a dental office. As her children were growing she loved going to their sporting events. After retiring and moving to the Denmark area, she became involved with the Senior Center, playing Bingo and going on bus trips. Nancy was a member of St. James Catholic Church, Cooperstown, where she became good friends with Sister Geri Krautkramer. Nancy treasured the time spent with Sister no matter if it was shopping, going out to eat, volunteering at church and visiting homebound parishioners.
Survivors include her children, Kim Lee (Jeff) Kralovitz, Tim Lee (Kate) Stankevitz; grandchildren, Mackinsy and Konner Kralovitz; brothers and sisters, John (Linda) Busa, Linda (Ricky) Kline; nieces and nephews.
Preceding Nancy in death are her parents; brother, Bob Busa; sister Jeanette (Harry) Danczyk; dear friends Agnes Schleis and Sr. Geri Krautkramer.
Family and friends may visit at Cotter Funeral Home- Denmark (536 County Road R) on Thursday, June 20, from 3:30 pm until the time of service at 4:30 pm. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery, Cooperstown.
