Mike “Mick” Lotto, age 78, passed away at his home recently. Born to Myron and Margaret (Hutjens) Lotto, Mike, a career home builder, was a lover of books, music and theology. He spent many years active in the local, state and national home builder’s associations, winning several awards and holding leadership positions for many years. His second career was as the religious education coordinator for St. Marys Church in De Pere. Mike was known for his love of humor and debate with anyone he could engage. He enjoyed every genre of music. He especially loved singing and was a member of the St Mary’s Greenleaf choir for decades and a wedding musician in his younger years.
He is survived by his wife Diane (Koenig) Lotto, his children Andrew, Michelle, Eric, and grandson Ray Lotto. He is further survived by his siblings Nancy (Jim) Pierce, Cindy Otto, Diane (Larry) Studley, Mary Lou (Rick) Kidd, Bernie (Janet) Lotto, and Denis Lotto.
Family and friends may visit at St. Clare Parish- St. Mary Site, 2218 Day Street, Greenleaf, on Friday, September 5, from 9:30am until 11:15am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30am, followed by burial in the church cemetery. Cotter Funeral and Cremation Care is assisting the family.
