De Pere

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mary Prebelski, age 88, of De Pere, who was reunited with her husband Arvin on January 1, 2026. She was born on February 22, 1937 to Lawrence and Virginia (Cadeau) Vizina. Shortly after graduating in 1954 from Baraga High School, Mary moved with her sister Helen to become a legal secretary in Milwaukee. There, she met Arvin Prebelski, and on June 14, 1958, they married at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Baraga, Michigan. Together, they built a loving home and raised three wonderful children.

Mary worked both as a legal secretary and in the insurance industry, always approaching her work with dedication. Outside of work, she enjoyed nature, especially in Spring, as well as gardening, biking, attending her grandchildren’s sporting events, and time spent at the family cabin in Upper Michigan.

Faith played a significant role in Mary’s life; she was a devoted member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Ledgeview.

Survivors include her daughter Judy Zanon and her children Alia Klaus (John), Alex, Anna and Andrew; son Jerry (Peggy) and children Kate, Nick (Kaylee) and Emma Trigueros (Cristian); daughter Joanne Prindle (Jeff) and children Joseph (Maddie), Jonathon (Aubrey) and Jessica. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren; brother Raymond (Ethel) Vizina; sister Helen Clisch; sisters-in-law Karen Vizina, Dolores Vizina and Kathleen Vizina.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arvin; her parents Lawrence and Virginia; brothers Leonard, Russell and Donald Vizina; her in-laws Albert and Hazel Prebelski; brother-in-law Douglas Prebelski.

According to Mary’s wishes, a private family Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Mary Catholic Church in Ledgeview.

Memorials may be made to Paul’s Pantry or Sisters of St. Francis of the Holy Cross.

Our family would like to offer a special thank you to the Medical Staff on Bellin 4th floor and ICU, the Pastoral Care Team from St Marys and her friends from the Renaissance who were so dear to her.
