First it must be mentioned that Mary Kay Terry was most proud of her Irish heritage. She went to Ireland three times with her sisters.
Mary Kay and Dale especially enjoyed their 18 years at their home in Venice with all their Florida friends. The 19 years at their cottage on the Bay were the most memorable making friends that continue to this day.
Mary Kay was a huge Packer fan and we enjoyed our Packer tickets for many years. She was especially happy when attending our children and grandchildren’s sporting events, concerts and dance recitals. The grandchildren always made her smile and those smiles were especially important in her later years.
She is most proud to have served on John F. Kennedy's presidential campaign in her senior year of high school. She attended his rally in Green Bay and had a very special moment when she was standing outside by the door of his limo when Kennedy came out. She was pushed halfway into the limo by the crowd only to look up to see Kennedy laughing as secret service agents tried to get her out. She has a large poster of him and an official letter signed by him thanking her for working on his committee.
Mary Kay often said in her later years, I can't believe how lucky we have been to have traveled to so many places, made so many new friends everywhere and most especially to have the children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and family members that God blessed us with.
