Green Bay

Mary Elizabeth “Mary Beth” Dunn, 67, of Green Bay, Wisconsin, passed away on April 21, 2026. She was born on November 16, 1958, in Green Bay to Roy and Mary Maternowski.

Mary Beth, also lovingly known as Bess, was a devoted homemaker whose life was centered around love, family, and the people she cherished. She is survived by her loving partner, Stewart Rose; her children, Jonathan Dunn, Jessica Wade, and Nathan Wade; and Stewart’s children, Emily Bayer and Nathan Rose, who loved her as a second mother. She was a proud and deeply devoted grandmother to Madden, Allie, and Sammy, who brought her endless joy. She is also survived by her siblings, Terry, Mike, and Penny Maternowski.

Mary Beth was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Mary Maternowski, and her husband, John Dunn, to whom she loved dearly.

To know Mary Beth was to love her. She had a rare gift—she could walk into any room and instantly brighten it. Her smile was magnetic, her energy contagious, but it was her laugh that people will never forget. It was full, genuine, and unmistakable, t

he kind of laugh that made everyone else laugh along with her. It filled rooms, lifted spirits, and became a defining part of who she was.

She was known as the “cool mom,” but to her children, she was so much more—a constant source of love, strength, and support. She inspired them to work hard, believe in themselves, and become the best versions of who they could be. As a stepmother, her love knew no boundaries, embracing her family with genuine warmth and unwavering care.

Mary Beth shared a special and lasting bond with her close group of girlfriends, friendships built over years of laughter, support, and unwavering love. They meant the world to her, and the connection they shared was something truly special—full of memories, inside jokes, and a lifetime of standing by one another through everything.

She had a deep love for animals, especially dogs, and over the years cared for many that became part of her family. As a young woman, she adored her horse, Rosa Kody, a bond that reflected her gentle and caring spirit. Mary Beth also treasured her time spent “up north,” where she made countless memories with friends and family at the cabins—moments filled with laughter, relaxation, and togetherness.

Above all else, Mary Beth’s greatest joy in life was her grandchildren. They were her heart. Time spent with them was what she cherished most, and they inspired her to be the best version of herself every day. Whether it was playing, laughing, or simply being together, those were the moments she loved most.

Mary Beth leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and connection. She will be deeply

missed by all who knew her, but her spirit—her smile, her laugh, and the way she made people feel—will live on forever.
