Mary Ann Baumgart (Kramer), age 81, of De Pere, lived a beautiful, blessed life is now in peace. She was surrounded by her family at her home when she was called into the arms of the Lord on November 15, 2021. Mary Ann was born on September 17, 1940 to the late Arthur V. and Evelyn (Boehm) Kramer. She graduated from Denmark High School.
On November 22, 1958 she married the love of her life, partner till the end, Ralph Paul Baumgart at St. Francis Xavier, De Pere. Together, throughout the good and difficult times they raised their 6 children on the family farm. They built many memories with family and friends through helping with fieldwork, making homemade meals, hosting family gatherings. Mom put her whole heart into whatever needed to be done. She could often be found in her garden and canning the harvest. Mary Ann always put others first, she was compassionate and above all a faithful Christian and a member of St. Francis Xavier and St. Mary Parishes in De Pere.
Mary Ann is survived by her partner in life, Ralph P. Baumgart; their children, Terry & Gary Lasecki, Carolyn & Keith Rukamp, Sharon & Tom Davister, Mike & Lana Baumgart, Karen Baumgart and friend Randy; grandchildren, Nickolas & Josie Rukamp, Brent & Emily Rukamp, Melissa & Curt Walt, Alley Joski, Taylor Joski, Tiffany Joski-Newkirk, Brandy & Austin Bitter, Brad & Hannah Baumgart, Alex Baumgart, Amanda & Adam Brennan, Matt & Whitney Davister; 13 great-grandchildren. Her siblings, Jean (Larry) Gillis, Joe (Ellen) Kramer and Pat (Nolan) Tebon; sisters-in-law Evelyn Warpinski and Pat Baumgart; brother-in-law, Jim Van Den Langenberg; special niece Mary; special nephew Vern; many other special nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Evelyn; infant daughter Kathleen Marie; also her siblings James Kramer, Charles (Frances) Kramer, Bernard Kramer, Dolores Van Roy, Earl Kramer and Germaine Kramer; in-laws, Francis Warpinski, Phillip Baumgart, Gladys Van Den Langenberg, Clarence (Mary) Baumgart, Gale (Mildred) Fenlon; Ralph’s step family.
Family and friends may visit at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N. Webster, De Pere, on Thursday, November 18 after 4:00pm, a parish prayer service will conclude the evening at 6:30pm. Visitation will continue on Friday at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 220 S. Michigan St., De Pere from 9:30am to 10:45am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Mary Ann at 11:00am with Rev. Matthew Faucett officiating.
Our family would like to send our heartfelt special thanks to St. Vincent Hospital for the care Mary Ann received through her times of need. The family would also give thanks to Unity Hospice for all of their care, compassion and support so Mom could rest in peace at home.
Never to say goodbye, only so long for now, Mary Ann. See you in Heaven! All Our Love, Mom!
