Marvin H. Rademacher

July 15, 1936 — October 19, 2024

Wrightstown

Marvin “Marv” Rademacher, 88, died unexpectedly on October 19, 2024.

Marv was born on July 15, 1936, to the late Leo and Loretta (Van Zeeland) Rademacher. He lived in the same block in Wrightstown his entire life, attending St. Paul Catholic School and Wrightstown High School. Marv married Elizabeth “Betty” Brooks on August 11, 1964, at St. Patrick’s Church in Askeaton. Marv and Betty were active members at St. Clare Parish in Wrightstown.

He worked at Thilmany Pulp & Paper Company, beginning his career within a week of graduating high school and retired in 1986 after 31 years. Marv enjoyed 38 years of retirement, often saying “Every day is a vacation for me, hunting, fishing, and playing down by the Fox River.” He took pride in his “House on the Fox”, always working on landscaping and other house projects. Marv was a proud Green Bay Packer season ticket holder since 1955, the year he graduated from high school. He jumped the fence at City Stadium to watch games and attended the Ice Bowl. Marv also enjoyed following the Badgers, Brewers, and whatever sport of the month might be happening. He was an avid runner, beginning when his daughters gave him a pair of running shoes for his 59th birthday and a race entry to a local 10K.

Marv is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Betty; daughters: Karla Brooks (Mark Triggiano), Kim (Gary) Hruska and bonus daughter Dawn (Bruce) Bartel; grandson Jack (Kristen) Buckley; granddaughters: Katerina and Elena Hruska; sisters: Dolores Van Eperen, Marlene Fischer, and Helen (Gene) Brick; sisters-in-law: Janet Huber, Judie Brooks, and Alice Brooks; special kitty and companion: Queen Elizabeth (“Lizzie”); and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Leo & Loretta Rademacher; parents-in-law: Henry & Mary Brooks; in-laws: Carl Van Eperen, Ed Fischer, Wilmer and Helen Brooks, Mary Alice and Paul Skell, Joe and Betty Brooks, Adrian Brooks, Rose Ann and Fred Ponschock; Sister Mary Henry Brooks, Theresa and John “Pinky” Kemkes, Richard Brooks, Virginia “Jeanie” Brooks, Jacob Brooks, Franklin and Janelle Brooks, Henry L. Brooks, Fr. Charlie Brooks, Jacob Huber, and Roger “Duke” Brooks; nephew Rick Skell; and niece Brenda (Brooks) Marquardt.

Family and friends may gather on Thursday, October 24, beginning at 2:00 pm until 3:45 pm at St. Clare Parish – St. Paul Site, 437 Main St, Wrightstown. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 4:00 pm with Fr. Brian Wideman officiating.

Marv’s family would like to extend a special thank you to neighbors Allan Lamers and Tom Aerts who assisted with snow removal.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Marv’s name.
