Marjorie Gale Roshong went to her heavenly home on March 30, 2020. She was born on June 5, 1927 to Major and Gale Hancock in New Albany, Indiana. Marge was the middle of three girls and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends from a young age.
She met the love of her life, Phil Roshong, and they married in 1948. Phil and Marge moved from Indiana to Green Bay, Wisconsin in 1953 when Phil became the pilot for Green Bay Packaging. Marge loved many things about life including: God, family, friends, and the Green Bay Packers. As the late, great Vince Lombardi would say, “There are three things that are important in life: God, family, and the Green Bay Packers.” Marge fully agreed with that order. She was a longtime member of Union Congregational Church. A proud sister, mother, and grandmother. A proud season ticket holder for over 50 years of the Packers.
She worked for Green Bay Packaging for over 35 years as their receptionist where she met many great friends. For those that knew Marge best, they would all say how much she loved life and being around people. She was known for her great smile and laugh which she shared with so many over the years.
Marge, or Nany as she was known by her grandkids, is survived by her younger sister Patricia Jensen of New Albany, Indiana. Her three daughters: Claudia Roshong-Doelger and son Parker of De Pere, Wisconsin; Beverly and Patrick Cattanach and children Wesley (wife Claudia) and Emily Cattanach of Florida; and Diane Roshong and son Tyler (Mallory) and three great-grandchildren Lauralye, Liberty, Jack Philip Roshong and Eli Burby of Green Bay, Wisconsin.
A celebration of Marge’s life will be held at a later date.
