Marie A. Franklin passed away on August 8, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. She is now healed in the loving arms of her Savior. Her final days were spent in the compassionate care of Unity Hospice, where she was surrounded by peace and comfort.
Born on June 19, 1960, in Watertown, NY, Marie was the fifth child of John and Rosina Schneider. She attended Watertown schools and earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Economics with a Minor in Accounting from SUNY Oneonta.
On August 28, 1989, Marie married James (Jim) Franklin, the love of her life. Together they lived in Germany where Jim was stationed with the United States Army, later settling in Green Bay and De Pere, WI following his medical retirement. Marie worked in various accounting roles before dedicating herself fully to caring for Jim through his battle with multiple sclerosis. Her devotion was marked by love, strength, and unwavering respect.
After Jim’s passing in 2016, Marie continued to serve others by guiding individuals and support groups through grief, sharing her own experiences with compassion and grace. Her ability to comfort others in their darkest moments was a reflection of her deep faith and generous spirit.
