Maria T. Dillhunt, age 75 of De Pere, passed away early Wednesday morning at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay. She was the oldest of twelve children, born on January 7, 1946, to the late Lawrence and Leola (DeBroux) Dillhunt in Green Bay. She was an advocate for women and helped to establish a center for battered women in Green Bay. Maria enjoyed card games, word games, doing puzzles and was an avid reader. She adored her grandchildren and spending time with her family was her greatest joy.
She is survived by her partner, Linda Schrevens, her children; Bob Borman, Brian (Lisa) Borman and Kelly Borman, grandchildren; Alex and Kyle and her former husband, John Borman. She is further survived by her brothers and sisters; Kathy (Jim) Kennard, Cliff (Kathy Koegel) Dillhunt, Tom (Lynette) Dillhunt, Donna (Jan Jansen) Dillhunt, Jack Dillhunt, Colleen Reinke, Dorothy (Roger) Burt, Theresa (Pat) Vande Walle and Pat (Lisa) Dillhunt, as well as several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death are her parents, and her brothers; David, Michael and Paul Dillhunt.
Family and friends may gather on Wednesday, June 9, 2021, beginning at 10:00am at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N. Webster Ave, DePere, with a memorial service to follow at NOON. Inurnment will take place at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
