Marcella H. Wegner, 82, Milwaukee, passed away Wednesday, July 03, 2013 at a local nursing home. She was born December 25, 1930 at the family home in Morrison, WI, daughter to the late Walter and Henrietta (Moschel) Wegner. She attended the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church and School of Morrison. She was confirmed from there on May 14, 1944. Marcella lived on the family farm in Morrison until she was 18, then moving to Milwaukee where she worked at a local boarding house for a number of years and then varied other jobs in Milwaukee. She lived in Milwaukee for more than 60 years. Survivors include her two sisters-in-law, Alice S. Wegner, Morrison, and Donna Wegner, Green Bay; nieces and nephews: Donna (Jim) Etling, Wayside, Glen (Gail) Wegner, Morrison, Gail (Dan) Rutter, Morrison, Debbie (David) Matherly, Charlotte, NC, Elle (Jeff) Trousil, Loveland, CO, George (special friend-Katherine) Wegner, Lark, Bernie (Bill) VanNoie, De Pere, Carol (Kevin) Dowd, Shawano, Paul (Tina) Wegner, Morrison, Daniel (special friend-Coreen) Wegner, Hobart, Annette (Mark) Kane, Greenleaf, Tim (Carla) Wegner, Shiocton, and a special friend, Karen Kowalski, and many other loving relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Elroy Wegner and Eugene Wegner. Family and friends held funeral service at Knutson-Cotter Funeral Home, on Sunday, July 7, with the Rev. Randy Ott officiating. Interment was at Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Morrison, Monday, July 8, 2013. Online condolences may be expressed at www.cotterfuneralhome.com.
