Lois Zeamer

October 28, 1931 — February 23, 2024

Lois Zeamer, age 92, of Morrison, received her Crown of Life on February 23, 2024 after a short stay in hospice care. The daughter of the late Edgar and Johanna (Natzke) Blauert was born on October 28, 1931. Her journey of faith began in baptism at Zion Lutheran Church on November 8, 1931 by Pastor Bruno Gladosch. She was then confirmed on May 13, 1945 at Zion Lutheran by Pastor E. Froehlich with the confirmation passage “I can do everything through Him who gives me strength.” Lois graduated East De Pere High School in the spring of 1949 and prior to meeting her husband, enjoyed time spent with her siblings in Milwaukee and in Morrison, as well as traveling with friends. Lois met her future husband, Ervin Zeamer, Sr., at Vic and Aggies wedding. His romantic letters swept her off her feet and on April 12, 1958, they were united in marriage by Dr. Henry Koch at Zion Lutheran Church in Morrison. This union was blessed by God with 10 children.

While raising the 10 children on the family dairy farm, Lois found time to enjoy gardening, canning fruits and vegetables, raising chicken and geese. She earned her CNA degree in October of 1975 and took an evening job at Ledgeview Nursing Home to pay the tuition for each of her children to attend Fox Valley Lutheran High School. Her faith was unwavering, and she was an active member of Zion Lutheran Church, singing in the ladies choir, participating in the Ladies Aid and driving elderly members to church. Lois also loved serving as a volunteer counselor for the Bay Area Pregnancy Counseling Center and spending Thursdays volunteering at Repeat Performance with other church members.

Lois was always a strong Christian role model for her family and friends. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, often attending their sporting events. She perfected Grandma Blauert’s chocolate chip recipe and became an avid Brewer and Packer fan.

Surviving Lois are her children: John (Jodi) Zeamer, Jerry (Karen) Zeamer, Joe (Jeanine) Zeamer, Jane Beatty, Julie (Brian) Beach, Ervin Jr (Jackie) Zeamer, Janet Doyen, Joel Zeamer, June (Kriss) Schmidt; grandchildren: Rachel Beatty, Jason (Liz) Zeamer, Allen (Erin) Frauenkron, Amber (Nick) Dobberpuhl, Katie (Joe) David, Kyle (Katie) Zeamer, Ashley (Darren) Krahn, Amanda Schmidt (Kyle Pieschek), Tyler Zeamer, Laura (Ryan) Eichman, Cody Beach, Angela (Jake) Brice, Johannah Zeamer (Dan Cieslak), Luke (Courtney) Zeamer, Kasey (Dana) Doyen, Carissa Beach, Jesse (Mikayla) Doyen, Alyssa Zeamer, Erica Zeamer, Lindsey (Markus) Klingenschmidtt, Natasha Zeamer, Andrew Doyen; great-grandchildren: Korey and Karlee Frauenkron, Charlie and Maxwell Dobberpuhl, Nelton and Quinton Krahn, Colton Pieschek, Huxley, Layne and Morgen Brice, Blake and Cameron Zeamer, Oliver and Liam Zeamer, Brooks Eichman, Molly and Daniel Zeamer and expecting 3 more. She is further survived by her sister Arlene Stolte and sisters-in-law: Gloria Blauert, Sandy Blauert, Joan Oswald and Ruth Zeamer, as well as cousins, nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ervin Sr., son James, grandson Keith, great-granddaughter Brooklyn, son-in-law Bill, 13 siblings and their spouses as well as in-laws and their spouses.
