With a heavy heart we announce the peaceful passing of Lois Ann (Geurts) Vander Heiden on February 19, 2021 with her family after many years of health problems. Lois was born on October 11, 1946 to Wilber J. and Ellen (Rukump) Geurts. She married Richard “Dick” Vander Heiden on July 17, 1965. Lois was dedicated to her family, spending most of her time as a homemaker and mom. Her grandchildren affectionately called her “Grandma Lolo.” She enjoyed ceramics, bowling, traveling, cross stitching and crocheting.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years Richard (Dick) Children: Terry (Kim), Dan (Lisah), Pam (Erik) Cornelius; Grandchildren: David (Zandra) Leitch, Jessica (Robert) Tischler, Christopher (Amanda), Cade (Jenny), Nathan (Amanda), Ryker (AJ), and Elliot Cornelius; Eight Great-Grandchildren along with one on the way. Further survived by siblings: Ken (Debbie) Geurts, Andy (Debbie) Geurts, Sara (John) Heesaker, Kay Geurts, Mary (Service) Hurst, and Roy (Linda) Geurts; sisters-in-law: Sharon and Lana Geurts; stepsister: Mary Davis, as well as Dick’s siblings, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Preceded in death by: Her Parents, Stepmother (Laverne), Her Brothers Ron and Aaron Geurts, Grandson Alex Cornelius, Nephew Micah Hurst, Stepsister Sandy Lacy and Stepbrothers-in-law John Lacy and Dan Davis.
Family and friends may visit at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N Webster Ave, De Pere, on Friday, February 26, from 4:00pm until the time of service at 7:00pm. Burial will be in St. Patrick Cemetery, Snyderville. Mask wearing is strongly encouraged at the funeral home- please bring your own mask.
