Lois Ilene Stirdivant

May 6, 1925 — January 9, 2022

Lois I. Stirdivant went to her heavenly father on January 9, 2022.
She was born in Milwaukee, WI. In 1925 the daughter of Stanley and Marie Nowak. She graduated from “South Division High” in Milwaukee in 1943. She was united in marriage to Jack Zierfus in 1946. Jack passed away in 1970. She was preceded in death by her two sisters, Florence Riegg (Arthur) and Laverne Stevenson (Charles) and a brother Victor Nowak (Charlotte).

Lois married Milton Stirdivant in 1975. He was a meteorologist for the “National Weather Service.” She worked many years at First Northern Savings in Green Bay. After Milt retired, they spent 16 winters in Naples, FL, and their summers in Door County at their “Northern Nest”. They moved back to Green Bay in the spring of 2004. She volunteered in the Gift Shop at Aurora Hospital for 10 years and enjoyed it very much.

Lois loved music, singing and dancing and also enjoyed golfing. She was in the choir at Faith Lutheran Church in Green Bay, WI and Grace Lutheran Church in Naples, FL. Lois enjoyed traveling, spending time with family and friends and writing poetry.

Survivors include her wonderful husband, Milt. One daughter, Jacqueline Welhouse (Dirk) Abrams, WI. Three step-children, Dr. Steven Stirdivant (Deborah) Cary, N.C., David Stirdivant (Sandy) Green Bay, WI, Sharon Wieker (Lane) EauClaire, WI. Eight grandchildren, Michelle Haave (Dan), Cedarburg, WI, Rob Charles, Wausau, WI, Sarah Stirdivant and Shannon Stirdivant, Raleigh, NC, Ben Wieker (Kelli), Hudson, WI, Luke Wieker (Paige), EauClaire, WI, Andrew Stirdivant, Green Bay, WI, and Anna Wieker, Milwaukee, WI. Great-grandchildren, Dr. Zachary Haave, Denver, CO, Nicholas Haave, Wausau, WI, Jordie Wieker, EauClaire, WI and Mason Wieker, Hudson, WI; other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held for Lois on Thursday, January 20 at Faith Lutheran Church, 2335 S. Webster Avenue, Green Bay at 11:00am with Pastor Joshua Errer officiating. Family and friends may gather at 9:30am until the time of services. Burial will be in the Fort Howard Cemetery, Green Bay, WI. Cotter Funeral and Cremation Care is assisting the family with arrangements.
