Linda A. Hermes, age 76, formerly of Greenleaf, WI, passed away peacefully at her home in Manitowoc, WI.
She was born on April 22, 1948 in Appleton, WI, daughter of the late George and Geniveve (Kobs) Hermes. She shared her life with her lifelong partner, William Moser for 45 years.
Linda worked as head color engineer at Thilmany’s Paper Mill in Kaukauna, WI until the time of her retirement. She enjoyed playing board games, playing cards and was a furious reader. Linda was a very boisterous Packer fan, but what was very special to her was her seasonal camping site at Harbor Village in Door County.
Linda is survived by two daughters Karice (Jeff) Scharenbroch and Stacy Cummings; grandchildren Danny (Christy), Dallas (Nya) and Jack Scharenbroch. Three great grandchildren Owen, Natalie and Asher; one brother Randy (Jean) Hermes; three sisters Joann Hermes, Donna Moser and Janet (Phillip) Johnson; two sisters-in-law Cindy Hermes and Linda (Tom Erickson) Moser; her best friend Nancy Steffens; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by one son William Hermes; Two brothers Roger and Jerry Hermes; one sister Diane Cummings; two sisters-in-law Fay Stumpf and Elaine Nelson.
Celebration of Linda’s life will be on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at Cotter Family Gathering Center, 518 Meadow Lane, Wrightstown, WI 54180 from 11:00 am to Noon with a memorial service at Noon with Rev. Andy Zoerb.
