Leslie Paul Larmour

November 5, 1943 — April 23, 2026

Leslie Paul Larmour, age 82, passed away peacefully on April 23, 2026 at his home. Les was born on November 5, 1943, in Ishpeming, MI, son of the late Rexford and Dorothy (Schraeder) Larmour. He graduated from Ishpeming High School, class of 1962 and later from Northern Michigan University with a degree in Education and a master’s degree in Administrative Leadership.

On August 5, 1967, he married Mary Jo Russo in Negaunee, MI. The couple celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary last August. Les worked as an educator his whole life, beginning his career at White Lake, WI as a physical education teacher, coach and principal. He retired from Coleman School District, WI in 2001 after serving as the principal of the high school and later the Superintendent of the district for twenty-two years. He spent his retirement years in De Pere, WI surrounded by his family.

The most rewarding accomplishment in his life were his long marriage to his wife Mary Jo and being blessed with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He loved spending time with his family, especially if it meant great food and a Packer game. He was a die-hard Packer fan through the good, bad and ugly. He also loved playing (and usually winning) a game of Smear, golfing and a week at camp and a trip to the casino.

Les is survived by his wife Mary Jo, three children Sandra (Doug) Maedke, Terri (Rick) Meyers and Scott Larmour; seven grandchildren Kayla (Mitch), Alyssa, Megan (Cody), Derek (Caitlyn), Lezlie, Max and Eli (Brynn) and five great grandchildren Emmett, LeRoy, Cora, Mavis and Vivienne. Other family and friends also survive.

Besides his parents; he is preceded in death by two brothers David and Patrick Larmour; his father-in-law Tony Russo and mother-in-law Elaine Denofre.

Cremation has occurred at Cotter Funeral Home in De Pere. Les will be laid to rest at the Allouez Catholic Cemetery. A private family service will be held.

Les’ family would like to thank Unity Hospice for all of their help, support and compassion.

In lieu of flowers or memorials, the family would appreciate donations in Les’s name to Tunnel of Towers.
