Laura J Klug

Laura Jane (Schwalbe) Klug, 63 of Denmark passed away May 13, 2026 surrounded by family and friends.

Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on April 8th, 1963 to Walter George Schwalbe and Dorothy Marie (Dever) Schwalbe of Brookfield Wisconsin. She lived in Brookfield for many years. She married her high-school sweetheart, Robert John Klug on June 25, 1982. Together they moved to Denmark and raised their three children.

She will always be remembered for being accepting, loving, generous, and free-spirited. She enjoyed gardening, couponing, planning, hosting parties, and caring for her cats.

She is survived by her three children Kathy Bougie, Carrie (John) Kellner, and Jonathan (Devin) Klug. Her grandchildren Walter, Blake, Noah, Amelia, Rex, Spencer, Weston, Violet and Tommy. As well as her brother Scott (Debbie) Schwalbe and their children Amy (Jarod) Huebner, and Ryan (Alison) Schwalbe.

She is preceded in death by her husband Robert Klug, her parents Walter and Dorothy Schwalbe, and her grand-daughter Perri Schnell.

A service will be held in her honor Sunday, May 17th, 2026 at Cotter Funeral Homes in Denmark, 536 County Rd R, Denmark, WI 54208 from 2pm until 4pm.
