Kristina Gossen

Kristina’s father and grandparents walked with her on her final journey as Kris passed away on September 30, 2021, following a long battle with cancer. Kris was a strong and independent woman who loved everything that was Wisconsin: people, places, and food. She had an eye for quality and supported art and craft events. She was a big fan of Wisconsin sports- although there was a time in her teenage years where her judgement faltered and she was a Cowboys fan. Kris had a true love of animals-her pets meant everything to her. Kris was born on June 25, 1970 and worked in manufacturing and later in childcare. She loved her little kiddos. We were so blessed to have her in our lives as she taught us patience and self-control. We will miss her spunk.           
Survivors include her mom, Kathryn Cassidy; her living father, Jeffrey Machon; her brother Ben and his wife Amanda who cared for her for many years; nieces: Alexis, Hailey, April, and Maddalynn; cousins who she shared lots of laughs and green beer with; uncles and a special aunt Karen Rozek who she had a close bond with; as well as numerous friends and other family.           
She was preceded in death by her father Bill Gossen; grandparents: John and Adele Cassidy, Josephine and Lloyd Gossen; along with uncles and aunts.            
A special thank you to the Vince Lombardi Cancer Center and Aurora Hospice whose care and compassion is unsurpassed (especially Leah). Also, to all the friends and family for their love, prayers, and visits. Plus, the special prayers from Missouri.Family and friends may visit at St. Mary Catholic Church, 4805 Sportsman Drive, Ledgeview, on Monday, October 4, from 10:00am until 10:45am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am with Fr. Matt Faucett officiating.  
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wisconsin Humane Society- Green Bay Campus or Bellin School of Nursing in honor of Kris.
