Kenneth "Kenny" Peterson

Kenneth G. Peterson, 82, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 28, 2025 at home

Kenny was born July 29, 1942, son of the late Autlin and Myrtle (Larsen) Peterson. Kenny was a 1960 graduate of Denmark High School. After graduation Kenny worked for GE, Schuster Construction, and the Denmark School District, which he retired from after 29 years. He was named the Denmark Citizen of the Year in 2010.

Kenny was a proud 50+ year member of the Denmark Fire Dept. He served as the Fire Chief for 29 years. He was also a member of the fire department’s booyah committee.

Kenny married Nancy (Valentine) Peterson on Jan 29, 1966, at Grace Lutheran Church, Green Bay. They celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary this past January.

He will be deeply missed by his wife Nancy, children, Scott (Jenny) Peterson, Krista (Todd) Tretter, Holly Peterson and Heidi Peterson. Grandchildren Zac (Kristin) Peterson, Noah (Cindy) Peterson, Lily (Joey) Scimemi, Teagan Tretter, and Ty Tretter (fiancé Keta Oettinger); great grandchildren, Brileigh, Harper, Braeyson, Delilah, Ryker, Braylor, and a baby due in July; Godson, Randy Cizek and his close friends, Lowell, Leon, David, and Jim

In addition to his parents, Kenny was preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law Irving and Blanche Valentine, sister and brother-in-law Helen and Tony Ciango.

Memorial services will be held at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, 435 Wisconsin Ave, Denmark on Saturday, May 10th, 2025. Visitation begins at 12:00 pm with a service at 4:00 pm with Rev Andrew Zoerb officiating.
