Kenneth "Ken" Peters

Kenneth Joseph Peters passed away on May 22, 2026. He was born on August 11, 1943, to the late David and Delores (Vande Walle) Peters. Ken graduated from East De Pere High School in 1961 and went to work at Green Bay Packaging for a short time and then decided to go to St. Norbert College in 1964, graduating in 1968. He married Sharon Geurts on September 5, 1964, at St. Mary Catholic Church in De Pere. He worked at Bellin Hospital in human resources for over 40 years. His happy place was up north at the cottage with his family. He had a big heart and was always ready to help someone.

He is survived by his loving wife Sharon of 61 years; children: Todd and friend Jane McClure, Eric and Melissa as well as granddaughters Ella and Tessa; brother Tom and June Peters; sister Sharon and Dennis Farrell; Sharon’s siblings: Sandra (Marvin) Clarksen, Linda (special friend Mike List) Robertson, Kelly (Donna) Geurts, Rick (Sherry) Geurts, Jeff (Debbie) Geurts, Perry Geurts; sisters-in-law Louise Geurts, Mary Geurts and Laura Peters; and many nieces and nephews and friend of the family Pam Schlender. Ken loved the time he got to spend with them.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents; parents-in-law Arthur and Erma Geurts; and brothers Gary Peters and David “Pepper” Peters; brothers-in-law Michael Geurts, Scott Geurts and Tim Robertson.

Family and friends may visit at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N Webster Ave, De Pere, on Wednesday, May 27, from 4-7pm. A prayer service will be held at 6:30pm. Visitation will continue on Thursday at St. Mary Catholic Church, 4805 Sportsman Drive, Ledgeview, from 9:30am until 10:45am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am with Rev. Mike Ingold officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, De Pere.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Mary Catholic Church.
