Our hearts are heavy on this day because our beloved mother has fallen asleep in the arms of the Lord.
June Ann Minor, 91, Green Bay, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 24, 2021 at Woodside Nursing Home. She was born in Green Bay on May 29, 1930 to Joseph and Muriel (Bunker) Tilkens. She attended St. John’s Elementary School and graduated from St. Joseph Academy. She worked at St. Vincent Hospital before marrying James Gary Minor on October 7, 1950; having just celebrated 71 years together.
June enjoyed working at many stores in Green Bay including Naus, Elder Beerman and Boston Store. Later in life, June did demoing at Copps Food Store all the while she was raising her five children.
June and Jim had three daughters and two sons: Cheryl and Don Stewart, Michayl and Dean Reimer, Paula and Jim Dahmus, Michael Minor, Steve and Mary Minor; Ten grandchildren: Dan Stewart, Jennifer Stewart, Nicholas (Kristen) Stewart, Joshua Herman, Kathryn Herman, Andy (Ashley) Dahmus, Theodore (Kali) Dahmus, Holly Dahmus, Natasha Minor, Alexis Minor and Maxwell Minor. She also had six great-grandchildren: Nathan and Jameson Stewart, Sonya and Augustus Herman, Shawn and McCartney Dahmus. She has one surviving brother, Dave (Jean) Tilkens.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Muriel; two brothers, Paul and Karl Tilkens and one sister, Donna Van Beek.
Private funeral services will be held at St. Matthew Catholic Church in Allouez. Burial will be in Allouez Catholic Cemetery.
