Jules L. VanGheem, age 78, of De Pere, passed away Saturday, November, 20, 2021. The son of the late Edmund and Caroline (Kadlac) VanGheem was born February 13, 1943 in Green Bay. On June 27, 1964 he married Beverly Berrens in Chilton and they had 5 children. Jules was a proud over-the-road trucker for over 55 years, having started with John H. Brick, then Packerland Packing before finishing at WEL’s. He was a member of the Green Bay Eagle’s Club and an avid NASCAR fan who enjoyed his yearly trips to Daytona with Michael.
Jules is survived by his wife, Beverly; daughter Kim (Rod) Keever and their daughter Courtney (Edgar) Lantz and their children (great-grandchildren) Kaylee, Logan and Andrew; son Michael VanGheem; son Paul (Amy) VanGheem and their children: Teegan, Colton, Brooklyn and Lauren; daughter Kate and her daughter Cassie and her children (great-grandchildren) Lizzy and Jason; sister: Lois Geyso and brother Glen (Sue); 4 sisters-in-law and their spouses, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, his dogs Henry and Max, other family and special friend Carl (Delores) Frelich.
He was preceded in death by his daughter: Connie Jo; brother-in-law: Bob Geyso; sister Charlene; his father-in-law and mother-in-law Charles “Carl” and Connie Berrens; and his dog Little Bit.
Family and friends may visit at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N Webster Ave, De Pere, on Monday, November 29, from 4-7pm. A parish prayer service will conclude the evening. Visitation will continue at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 220 S. Michigan Street, De Pere, on Tuesday, November 30, from 9:00am until 10:15am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am. Entombment in the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Chapel Mausoleum.
The family respectfully asks that flowers not be sent.
Our family would like to thank the caregivers at Rennes Health and Rehab and the doctors and nurses of St. Vincent Hospital for the care given to Jules.
