Joyce (Luczynski) Schrader, 91, passed away Thursday, June 25, 2026 – 2 days after her birthday. Joyce was born on June 23, 1935 in South Bend, IN to the late Chester and Mary Luczynski. Joyce married Duane “Dewey” Schrader in 1957. They were married for 61 years until his passing in 2019.
Joyce had a beautiful life and a loving family. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. When her kids were growing up – she would feed anyone that walked through her door – she was an excellent cook. She loved playing bingo, reading true crime books, and shopping. She was known as “Grandma Jackpot” for the gifts that were like a bottomless box. She always did a beautiful job wrapping presents. Joyce loved sending greeting cards. She never missed an occasion to remember someone, and you always recognized her beautiful handwriting. She had a beautiful smile and an infectious laugh – she was always fun.
Joyce will be missed by her children, Cole Schrader, Jeff (Kitty) Schrader, Gail (Charles) Prange and Tracy Gomoluch. Grandchildren, Joey Schrader, Sara Stevens, Henry Prange, Harry Prange, Madeline Prange (Jake Kneusel), Alexandra (Andy) Zakowski, Gabriel Gomoluch (Taylor Greening) and Gwenyth Gomoluch. Great grandchildren, Graham, Madeline and Amarianna Kneusel, Walker and Jordy Jo Stevens. Brother Norm Michaels and sister Cathie Stout. In addition, many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her sister Patricia Luczynski, sister-in law Barbie Michaels, nephew Mike Michaels, brother-in-law Rev. Mr. Michael L. Stout, brothers and sisters-in laws, Bill & Molly Schrader, Don & Regolette Schrader and Leon & Marrietta Schrader.
Family and friends may visit at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N. Webster Ave., De Pere on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, from 3:00PM to 6:00PM with a service at 6:00PM. The family thanks the staff at Unity Hospice and Tender Hearts Assisted Living for their care and support.
