Jon Wayne Pietsch, age 80, passed away peacefully on May 15, 2026. Jon was born on January 3, 1946, to Francis and Marian (Sindlar) in Menominee, Michigan. Jon attended Menominee Schools graduating in 1965. Following graduation, he worked briefly at Frank R. Wilke Printing Co. in Milwaukee. In January of 1966 he joined the US Navy serving most of his time in Vietnam. On October 5, 1968, Jon married his lifelong partner Judith Chartre’. Together they built a beautiful life together. After Jon’s discharge from the Navy, he attended the University of Wisconsin, Marinette campus. He later worked for Brown County Publishing Company in Denmark, Wisconsin and that’s where Jon and Judi made their home for over 50 years. Jon retired from Van Lanen Printing in Green Bay and enjoyed many years of retirement Jon and Judi enjoyed traveling extensively, including all but six states and most Caribbean Islands. They made many beautiful memories. Jon also served on the Denmark Planning Commission for many years and help develop the original planning guidelines. He also served on the village board. Jon was a proud member of the VFW Post #6705 in Denmark.

Jon is survived by his wife of 57 years Judi, his daughter-in law Michaela Pietsch, and grandson Aidan Somers, his sister Mary (George) Brudi, brother Raymond Pietsch and sisters-in-law Mary Pietsch and Kay Chartre’ along with many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his son Jason Patrick, infant children, Christopher, Kevin and Jessica. Also, by his brother Francis Pietsch and in-laws, Patrick and Beaulah Chartre’, brothers-in-law Raymond and Douglas Chartre’ and a nephew Steven.

A visitation will be held at All Saints Catholic Church,145 St Claude St, Denmark, WI 54208 on Wednesday, May 27, from 9am until 10:45. Mass of Christian Burial at 11am with Brother Ray Stadmeyer presiding.Full military honors will follow Mass.

In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to the Denmark VFW Post #6705 or the Curran Spirituality Center in Denmark.

The family would like to thank the staff at Bellin Hospital, Unity Hospice, and all our friends and family who showed us support during this very difficult time.

Just one lifetime was not enough for us.
