Jodi Lynn Schott

Jodi Lynn (Leiterman) Schott passed peacefully into her heavenly home on July 29, 2026, after a courageous and prolonged battle with cancer, surrounded by the love she so freely gave and gratefully received throughout her life.

Jodi was born on July 14, 1970, to Leland and Carol (Gajeski) Leiterman and grew up in Denmark, Wisconsin. She graduated from Denmark High School in 1989.

While working in her family's business, Jodi met the love of her life, Steven Schott. The two were married on August 26, 1994, beginning a partnership built on love, faith, laughter, and unwavering devotion.

Jodi held a variety of jobs throughout the years. However, the career she was most proud of began in 2000 when she became mom to Abigail. That same year, she gracefully overcame her first battle with cancer. Then, in 2004, Steve and Jodi welcomed their daughter, Haley.

As a mother, Jodi devoted herself wholeheartedly to her family. She was her daughters' biggest supporter and loudest cheerleader, encouraging them through countless sporting events, school activities, dances, swimming lessons, and every new adventure that came their way. Her love, guidance, and steadfast presence shaped the women they have become.

Jodi was a devoted Catholic and active in her church community. She found comfort, strength, and purpose in her relationship with God.

In 2020, Jodi began working in the cafeteria at St. Norbert College in De Pere, where her warm smile, kind heart, and infectious laughter quickly earned her many dear friends. She continued working there until 2025, when cancer once again entered her life. True to her character, Jodi faced every challenge with courage, optimism, and a sense of humor that lifted the spirits of those around her.

No matter what life brought her way, Jodi found joy in everything. She loved being where the action was, even if she preferred staying out of the spotlight. She was always searching for a great bargain, whether for others or her own family. She was eager to discover the biggest and best rummage sales, and delighted in sharing her latest finds with family and friends.

Jodi is survived by her husband of 31 years, Steve, her daughters Abigail (Jacob Stilin) and Haley (Devin Geary), her mother Carol Leiterman, brother Keith Leiterman, brother-in-law Larry (Janette) Schott, sister-in-law Cindy (Kevin) Parker, brother-in-law Don (Mary) Schott, brother-in-law Patrick (Nancy) Schott, sister-in-law Janita Harner (Jerry Mortimer), brother-in-law Dale (Silvia) Schott, sister-in-law Karen Sharp, brother in law Brian (Pam) Schott, and nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives. Jodi is pre-deceased by her father Lee Leiterman, and her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Grace and Cletus Schott.

Jodi's kindness, faith, laughter, and love touched countless lives. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were blessed to know her.

Family and friends may gather for a visitation on Wednesday August 5, 2026, at Cotter Funeral Home (536 County Road R, Denmark, WI 54208) starting at 4:00pm until 7:00pm. A prayer service will be held at 6:30pm. Visitation will continue Thursday August 6, 2026, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church – Stark (7016 County Road NN, Denmark WI 54208) from 9:30am until 10:45am. Mass of Christian burial will be at 11:00am, with Fr. David Pleier officiating. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery on Friday August 7, 2026, at 10:00am.
